GO GREEK & GO VOLS!!!!

DEAR POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS,

We are so excited that you have decided to learn more about Delta Gamma at the University of Tennessee. Going Greek is one of the most important and influential adventures a young woman can decide to embark on. By choosing to join a sisterhood, you choose to make a promise to become and be the best version of yourself and support the women who surround you as they strive to do the same.

As we sit here writing this letter to you, we can't help but think back to the summer of 2021 when we were in your position. From finding the right outfit to finding the right chapter, recruitment and the weeks that lie before and after it are exhilarating and stressful times. However, no feeling compares to finding your home. We both remember visiting Delta Gamma each round of recruitment and recall the emotions we had as the house began to feel like a home and the women began to feel like sisters. Each day, it was a relief to walk through Delta Gamma's doors and slip back into ourselves - with no pressure to be anything but who we truly were.

We are so excited for you to embark on the same journey. Throughout this process, we hope that you will see all that Delta Gamma has to offer. Whether from Knoxville or across the country, Delta Gamma can help Rocky Top feel like home by giving you a way to get involved, an unfailing support system, and the best friends you could ever hope to make.

See you in August!

DEAR POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS,

My name is Mary Osborn and I am so beyond excited to serve as the Director of New Members this upcoming fall! I can not wait to meet you all!

When I was going through recruitment, I was full of nerves and had no idea what to expect. Walking into Delta Gamma each round, I felt instantly calmer. I was always able to be myself without fear of judgment, and every girl I talked to went out of their way to make me feel welcome and chosen. Their passion and love for their chapter was evident. I knew I could make my forever friends in Delta Gamma.

Ever since I ran home to Delta Gamma on bid day, I have grown and changed in so many ways. I feel more at home every day in Delta Gamma, and have truly met the most intentional, hilarious, and caring women here. They are there with me on my best days, and stand by my side on my worst. My sisters gave me the confidence I needed to pursue this position, and I am so grateful. I have already grown so much stronger as a leader, and would not have been able to do this without the encouragement they have given me. I have a newfound confidence in myself, and I have never known a sweeter friendship than the ones I formed here at Delta Gamma.

I can not wait to welcome the new members home to Delta Gamma on bid day! I am so excited to be your first friend in Delta Gamma, and form a bond that will last long after initiation. I am here to celebrate your victories and help you through your struggles. I love Delta Gamma so much, and I hope to help you love it as much as I do! Watching you thrive throughout your college experience is my greatest joy! My best advice for recruitment is to be yourself and trust the process! I know it is nerve wracking, but you will find your home where you feel as loved and cherished as I do. I can not wait to meet you!

With Love,
Mary Osborn, Director of New Members
